Higher Level Learning Surveys

Dear Manchester School Community,

The Manchester School District is collecting feedback from all stakeholders related to higher learning opportunities for students. A higher level learning opportunity is defined as an experience through a course or program that requires students to synthesize and connect knowledge. It is more complex and cognitively demanding. Courses and programs that meet the criteria for higher level learning opportunities include Honors level, Advanced Placement (AP) Courses , the Manchester Community College’s Running Start program, and Southern New Hampshire University’s Dual Enrollment Program (a/k/a College in the High School).

Your help is needed to complete this survey by May 10th, 2018. Your feedback will help Manchester School District better understand how effectively it is communicating higher level learning opportunities to students and their families. This is an opportunity for all of us to get feedback on the changes that have been made to improve the communication of Higher Learning Opportunities this year and what our next steps should be.

Survey closes May 10th, 2018

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey,

SchoolMessenger Notification System

Manchester School District will be using an automated notification system called SchoolMessenger. It will automatically call any phone numbers you have listed in Aspen. If you have cell phone numbers listed, you MUST opt-in to receive text message notifications. You may opt-in by texting "Yes" to 67587 or by replying Y when the system sends you a message on Friday, December 1, at 10am. If you do not opt-in, you will still receive calls, just not text messages.  For more information, please read the letter below from Dr. Vargas.

Early College Initiative

MST and Manchester Community College have teamed up again this year to offer REAL college courses to our high school students! Students at MST are able to register for online or on-campus courses at MCC for half the cost that a college student would pay. This is a great opportunity for students who have early release or late arrival! As a bonus - courses that are in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics are eligible for a scholarship. Students who earn a C or better in the course will get the entire tuition payment reimbursed!

Registration for the Spring semester begins on Monday, November 27. Please see guidance for more details.
